Do you accept insurance?
Yes — insurance is accepted for mental health counseling services, including Aetna, United Health Care, BlueCross BlueShield, OptumHealth, Medicaid, Medicare, and GEHA. Medical services (hormone therapy and weight loss) are offered through private pay membership plans. Contact us at (843) 900-3590 to confirm your coverage.
Do you offer telehealth appointments?
Yes. Telehealth appointments are available for all services — counseling, hormone therapy consultations, and medical weight loss. If you're located anywhere in South Carolina, you can access Carolina Grace Wellness without coming into our Summerville office.
What mental health services do you provide?
Carolina Grace provides personalized mental health care for teens, adults, and couples in a warm, relationship-centered setting. Our services include individual and couples counseling, treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, life transitions, relationship concerns, and emotional regulation, as well as ADHD assessment and support. We also offer mental health medication management and collaborative care, allowing our counselors and medical provider to work together when appropriate to support your emotional and overall wellness.
Do I need a referral to get started?
No referral is needed. You can schedule counseling directly online, or call (843) 900-3590 or email Getstarted@carolinagracebcc.com to get started with Wellness or Counseling services. Provider referrals may be faxed to (854) 246-8965.
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes — Carolina Grace is currently accepting new patients across all three service areas: hormone replacement therapy, & mental health counseling. Because we operate a boutique model with a limited patient panel, availability is intentionally finite.
How is a boutique practice different-We are not a corner clinic.
The biggest difference is time and continuity. Concierge clients at Carolina Grace message directly with their provider-No middle man. Reserved appointments for mental health-you don't compete for care. Longer appointments for collaborative care with the therapist and medical provider- A whole person approach. We deliberately limit our patient panel so each person receives the attentiveness their care requires.
Is medical weight loss just another GLP-1 prescription?
No. While we do offer clinically supervised GLP-1 protocols where appropriate, our approach begins with understanding your emotional and behavioral health and specific metabolic, hormonal picture. We don't prescribe a medication and wish you luck — we build a personalized plan that addresses why weight management has been difficult, not just how to temporarily shift the scale.
What if I've never tried therapy before and don't know where to start?
Match Matters. The first step isn't a commitment — it's a conversation. Our therapists use evidence-based approaches (CBT, DBT, ACT, ART, EFT) and meet you where you are.
